Massage Therapy

Massage therapy provides relief for many musculoskeletal pains and discomforts. Techniques range from light pressing to deep pressure and are tailored based on the patient's condition and injury. The benefits of massage therapy may include increasing blood circulation, reducing swelling, relaxing muscles, relieving muscle pain and spasms and aid in recovery and range of motion.

  • Deep Tissue Massage

This massage targets the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissues by using friction and slower strokes. It often treats tightness and strain and may leave the patient sore for a day or two following treatment.

  • Reflexology

This massage focuses on the feet and uses pressure to treat the corresponding organs and body systems that link to the feet.

  • Shiatsu Massage

A form of Japanese massage, it uses finger pressure to activate acupuncture pressure points. This helps to promote energy flow within the body and regain balance.

  • Sports Massage

Depending on the type of sport, this massage is specified for people who are involved with physical activity. It helps to treat injuries as well as prevent them.

  • Swedish Massage

The most common type of massage in the US, this massage kneads muscles in long stroke or circular motions. It can range from light and relaxing to deep and therapeutic depending on the amount of pressure.
